Max E. Clark, 86, of Sherwood, passed away peacefully in his home on October 21, 2017. He is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn S. Clark; parents, Edna and Kenneth Clark; and sister, Rita Swaffar.
He is survived by his companion, Dorthe Erickson; sister Delores Clark; and children Somer (Clifton) Day, Shannon Crow, Angela (Allen) Harrod, Ronald (Martha) Clark, and Kenneth (Shawn) Clark; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
After 42 years, he retired from Coca-Cola Bottling Co. as Vice President of Marketing and Sales. He loved to travel, fish, and golf. His family was his pride and joy. Max was a past president of the Lions Club, Rotary Club, and Morrilton School Board. He was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church of NLR where he served on multiple boards and as business administrator.

Dorthe, Sommer, Shannon and family,
I am so saddened to read of Max's death. He was always such a help to me in my work at the Church, and someone I could always go to and he would be there with a smile. All lives come to an end, but it seems we're never ready to let go. I pray you find peace in knowing that he is at peace and whole once again, and can find strength from each other. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
