Rodger Dale ''Chief'' Mason, 56, of Magazine passed away in his home October 9, 2017. He was born May 21, 1961 in Houston, Texas, the son of Kenneth Wayne and Marlis Mae (Skaggs) Mason. Rodger was a roofing and concrete construction laborer. He loved God, his family, music and playing chess with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Marlis Mason; and one brother, Kenneth Thomas Mason.

Survivors include his wife, of fifteen years, Sherry (Breazzeal) Mason; four sons, Dale Mason of Florida, Gary Gordon and wife, Melanie of Van Buren, Jeff Gordon and wife, Terri of Sacramento, Calif., Scooter Breazzeal and wife, Melissa of Fort Smith; four daughters, Crystal Mason of Booneville, Karen Baugh and husband, Larry of Mena, Carla Chrisman and husband, Mike of Booneville and Wendy Belue of Van Buren; sixteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one sister, Darlene Mitcham and husband, Billy of Colmesneil, Texas; one brother, Brian Skaggs; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Booneville Funeral Service.
