Wanda Lee Lackey, age 73, passed away Friday evening September 22, 2017. She was born October 30, 1943 to Claborn and Fay (May) Beard in Salesville, Arkansas.
Wanda was a home maker all of her life, of her own home, as well as caring for many clients homes. Among her many passions was family; especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Everyone appreciated her hard work. One of her hobbies was working in her yard, which she still used a push mower for. Wanda also enjoyed sewing and making quilts. She was a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Wanda is survived by three daughters: Brenda (Charles) Swindle of Jordan, Arkansas, Sandra (Michael) Farris of Pineville, Arkansas, and Carla Lackey of Jordan, Arkansas, five grandchildren: Jessica Swindle, Jorey (Carol) Swindle, Tera Swindle, Brittni (Tyler) Gibbs, and Hayley Lackey. Wanda is also survived by twelve great grandchildren: William and Skylar Foster, Jeremy and Jazzalynn Jones, Anthony, Niki, and Jorie Swindle, and Victor, Domanik, Izaak, Chloey, and Raychel Gibbs as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Wanda was deeply loved by her family and she will be dearly missed here on this earth.
She was preceded in death by her parents Claborn and Fay, one sister Bettie King, and one brother Rickie Beard.
Graveside services will be held Friday, September 29, 2017 at 3:00 pm at Hand Cemetery in Jordan, Arkansas with Doug Husky officiating. All family and friends are welcome to attend.
