Betty Sue Silver, age 73, of Yellville, Arkansas passed from this life on Wednesday, August 16th, 2017 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, AR. She was born in Marshall, Arkansas on October 13th, 1943 to Ollie Yancey Mathis and Silvester Mathis.

Betty was of the Christian faith. She accepted the Lord as her Savior and was baptized as a young woman in her 20's in Little Rock. Betty worked for over 40 years in the Banking Business. She began her career at Union National but also worked at First National, Bank of the Ozarks and Boatmen's in Harrison, Central Bank in Missouri and various other banks throughout her career. Betty enjoyed gardening and flowers. She enjoyed the beauty of nature and watching all wildlife in their natural habitat. She especially enjoyed horses. Betty liked to watch mystery and detective shows also. She was a wonderful wife and mother and her strong presence will be missed by those closest to her.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Bill Silver of the home; three sons, Eric, Todd and Chris Silver, all of Bentonville; one brother, Eddie Mathis and wife Shirley of Wentzville, MO; and many cousins, other family and friends who will also mourn her passing.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ollie and Silvester Mathis; an infant sister, Frances Mathis; and one brother, Jack Mathis.

Memorial services for Betty will be 2:00 PM Monday, August 21st, 2017 at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Rick Watts officiating.

So sad to hear of Betty's passing. She was a friend and co-worker. We worked at 2 different Banks together. Always a hard worker and always willing to do whatever needed to be done. Even thought we had not seen each other for awhile I thought of her often and will miss the lunch's we used to share. Prayers for Bill and the boys, I know she will be missed.
