Vurnice D. Hardy, 85, of Greenbrier, AR went to her heavenly home Friday, June 16, 2017. She was born October 31, 1931 in Greenbrier to the late James and Mary Elen Britton Powell. Vurnice was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hardy, son, Gary Hardy, daughter, Janice Hardy, and five brothers, and five sisters.

Vurnice was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker and farmer. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, gardening, traveling, and camping. Vurnice had a kind and gentle spirit. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Vurnice is survived by her son, Tommy Hardy, daughter, Jeanette Ablondi (Les), numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be at 12pm Tuesday, June 20th with funeral service following at 1pm at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier. Rev. Jeanette Ablondi will be officiating. Burial will follow at East Shady Grove Cemetery. The family would like to extend special thanks to Greenbrier Nursing and Rehab and Hospice Home Care.
