Clarence Anthony Blanchard, age 84, of Greenbrier passed away May 27, 2017 in Conway, Arkansas. He was born on August 25, 1932 in Mt. Ayer, Iowa to the late Anthony and Wilma Watts Blanchard. He was an Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.
Clarence is survived by his wife of 62 years Donna See Blanchard; children Gary (Joyce) Blanchard, Craig Blanchard, Tammy (Joe) Verwers, Tracey (Scott) Bangtson; grandchildren Chris (Monica) Blanchard, Joe (Jennifer) Petit, T.J. Ellis, Michelle (Glen) Reynolds, Bryan (Kim) Blanchard, Gail (Billy) James, Ryan (Amy) Monk, Amber (Abel) Douglas, Damien (Kelly) Verwers, Valorie (David) Peitzman, Zachary Bangtson; twenty-one great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents, grandchildren Jerry Ellis, Derek Bangtson, two great-granddaughters and one great-grandson.
Clarence spent his early years as a farmer in Clarke County Iowa. He worked for Fisher Flow Controls in Marshalltown, Iowa retiring, after 30 years of service. He enjoyed spending his retirement with his family doing the things that he loved including fishing and attending grandchildren's ball games. He enjoyed the time that he got to spend with his church family at Wooster First Baptist Church also.
Visitation for Clarence will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at the Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel in Greenbrier from 5-8 P.M. The funeral will be held at the Wooster First Baptist Church at 1 P.M. Thursday, June 1, 2017 with Brother Keith Hicks officiating. Entombment will be at the Crestlawn Mausoleum on Hwy 64 East of Conway under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier, Arkansas.
