Doris Marie Schaibley, age 86 of Harrison, Arkansas, passed from this life on Tuesday, April 18th, 2017 at Maple Esplanade in Harrison. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on January 26th, 1931 to Perry Myers and Nettie Pratt Myers.
Doris became a single parent in 1974 and raised three children on her own. She traveled many places and worked various jobs to provide for her children. Doris was the owner and operator of the Rose Petal Restaurant and the Rose motel in Marshall, Arkansas between 1986 and 1991. Her hardworking and feisty spirit always prevailed and helped her overcome many obstacles in her life. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and loved her kids and grandkids dearly.
Survivors include her children, Earl Butler Jr., John Williams of Kansas City, KS, Fred Williams and wife Leah of Waco, TX, Debra Marie Williams and Sheila Mainord and husband Dewayne of Marshall; grandchildren, John Williams, Kara Calhoun, Stephanie Mainord, Talia Williams, Tyler Burbridge, Jeremy Williams, Brandon Williams and Hannah Poston; and fifteen great-grandchildren. Doris is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred F. Hurtado; and one brother, Ernie Myers.
