Clyde "Sonny" E. LynchI am a Veteran.

of Bergman, AR

August 24, 1941 - June 26, 2012

On June 26, 2012, our Lord escorted Sonny to his forever home. Born August 24, 1941, in Bellflower, California, to Clyde Willie and Lela Mae Lynch, Sonny lived most of his life in California. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son.

Clyde followed the footsteps of his father and uncles into the construction industry as a lather. Sonny served 2 years in the U. S. Army from 1966 to 1968. He was in the 198th Light Infantry Brigade, Americal Division. His service included a tour of Viet Nam during the TET Offensive, in which he was involved in firing ground support. In 1993, Sonny moved his family to Arkansas. It was here that he learned and mastered a new trade. Because of a lifetime of strong work ethics, discipline, and a motivation to succeed, he quickly made a name for himself in the stucco field. He became sought after by builders because he could organize crews and get jobs completed. Sonny employed many skilled technicians. He ran crews fairly and efficiently, making friends in several states as he traveled to job sites.

Sonny was a respected member of the Viet Nam Vets Motorcycle Club. He served as an officer of his chapter. He enjoyed the brotherhood and common bond they shared. He loved to ride his Harley, especially out west where he particularly enjoyed the Colorado Mountains. He cherished his friends and maintained many longtime friendships. He was approachable and had a soft heart for children and animals. Sonny enjoyed meeting new people. He liked guns and high-performance vehicles.

Sonny was generous and intensely devoted to his family. His priority was protection, planning, and provision for those he loved. He was a kind and loving husband, father, and ''Poppy''. He was a good friend and brother. He will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him.

Sonny is survived by his wife of 22 years, Laurie Krantz; his daughter and son-in-law, Shauna and Toby Barnett; his step-daughter and her husband, Sarah and Robert McCormick; his sisters, Joyce Reinhard, Verda Howard, Pat Knipp and Brenda Gober and their families; his brother, Rob Lynch, and his family; three beautiful granddaughters, Haley, Zoe, and Addison; and a host of dear friends.

Memorial service was Saturday, June 30, 2012, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
