Skeet was one of the kindest men I have ever known. Always concerned, caring, and responsible. He exhibited all the characteristics that we should strive for daily. Skeet gave to his community and fellow man his all with his duties as fire chief and first responder. He was never too busy too help, even though he carried more than a full load with his farm. God bless his family at this time.

Ms Judy...there are no words....our hearts are breaking for you and your family. Skeet was so many things to so many people and loved by them all. John and I both thought the world of him and are so very blessed to have known him and definitely considered him a dear friend. This is such a great loss for all of us who knew him but Heaven now has the greatest angel looking down over all of us. His big heart, his wisdom, his sense of humor, that crooked little grin, his love for his family, friends and his community are just a few of the things that made him so very special to us. We have all grown and become better people from just his presence in our lives. They just don't come any better....on earth or in Heaven. Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you.....

Our thoughts and prayers are certainly with you. You know we so enjoyed getting to know the whole family, I particularly enjoyed teasing the "varmit" as I often called Skeet when we were teasing each other, I enjoyed it and feel that he did also. It has been a blessing to know him. Please remember the "footprints" in the next few weeks and that God will always see us through because He has a reason for everything as I'm sure that now Skeet will be a guardian angel for all.. What joy Skeet must be having now- seeing the face of Jesus. He wil be missed tremendously. Words cannot express the sorrow that we feel when we lose a loved one, but knowing that he is rejoicing with the Lord andk knowing that we will see him again in Glory makes the hurt a little easier. Judy and family please know that you are all in our prayers. God's love and blessing to you all.

Dear Judy and Family,
Our deepest sympathy for your loss. We felt great sadness when we heard about Skeet. He was a friend at River Valley Grace Church. We always enjoyed seeing and talking with him. When Gay and I arrived for our first service at River Valley Grace, Skeet was the first person to welcome us and offer his friendship. Please take comfort in knowing that as a believer in Jesus Christ, Skeet enjoys eternal life in heaven. May God bless your family.

To Judy and family - what started out years ago as just "customers" buying hay, turned into a lasting friendship that words just can't describe. Skeet was one of the finest people we have ever met. He never laughed at my dumbest questions, whether they be about bottle calves, sick cows, or just pasture maintenance. Always just that slight grin and then quietly explain the proper techniques to follow. Numbers can't count the lives on earth this man's influence has touched and now the angels in heaven line up to welcome him home. In our hearts, he will be so very deeply missed, but never, ever forgotten.

What a shock to open my paper this morning and see that Skeet had passed away. I will always treasure my visit with him, you, Heidi and your Grandson in March. The time in your home will always be a special memory of a wonderful, kind and caring man and how much we enjoyed going back to our high school days and catching up on our lives.
