Lester Robert Pickel, age 91, of Yellville, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Lester was born in Yellville, Arkansas to the late William Thomas and Ada (Bundy) Pickel on May 17, 1927. He had been employed in maintenance in the hotel/motel business. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Yellville, Arkansas. Lester was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Mr. Pickel is survived by his wife of 67 years, Wanda (Jefferson) Pickel of the home; one daughter Cheryl Zeigler and her husband, Randy, of Flippin, Arkansas; three grandchildren: Jeannette Drummond, Ryan Pickel and Phillip Dyson; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two nephews: William Glen Pickel and Herbert Pickel Gray.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Wana Pickel; his brothers: Clyde Pickel, Herbert Pickel, and Ewell Pickel; and his sisters: Lucy Pickel, and Nevell Pickel.
Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Friday, August 24, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Yellville, Arkansas with Bro. Rick Pyron officiating.
Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery near Flippin, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be James ''Poncho: Drummond, Randy Jefferson, Ryan Pickel, Philip Dyson, Doyne Treat, Harlen Parnell, and Keith Hurst.

Mr. PIckel- such a sweet little man, always had a smile on his face and always said Hi to me. My memories of you are only happy ones and I want your family to know how special you are to us at the clinic. We love you Mr. Pickel.
