Steven Charles Adams, age 58, of Flippin, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Mr. Adams was born in Woodstock, Illinois August 30, 1959 to Thomas J and Marilyn (Benson) Adams Cheatham. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran. He had been employed as an engineer in commercial construction. Mr. Adams was the newly elected Post Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5742 in Cotter, Arkansas. He was the past senior commander, bingo chairman, and kitchen manager with the VFW.

Steven is survived by his daughters: Alexandra Jeanette Adams of La Habra, California; Stephanie Brown of Huntington Beach, California; his mother Marilyn Cheatham of McHenry, Illinois; his brother Donald Adams of McHenry, Illinois; his former wife Juana Avila of La Habra, California; his grandsons: Andrew and Sean; other family members; and his VFW family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas J. Adams.

A Gathering of Remembrance will be held at VFW Post 5742 in Cotter, Arkansas at a later date.

Arrangements are by Roller-Burns Funeral Home in Yellville, Arkansas.

Steve took over my job as Bingo Chairman at Cotter Post 5742 when I left, and has done an outstanding job there with the help of the other post officers. A real 'Semper Fi' Marine, that will be sorely missed.
