Robert, Milton Ray, age 75, of Valley Springs, Arkansas passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017 at his home.

Mr. Ray was born May 21, 1942 in Jerome, Arizona to the late Robert Merlin and Flora (Gibbons) Ray. He had been a Journey Pressman for the Arizona Republic newspaper with Gannett Publishing Company. He had lived in the area since 2014 coming here from Phoenix. Robert was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints in Harrison, Arkansas. He was very involved in Boy Scouts of America all his life as well as the Order of the Arrow.

Robert is survived by his wife, Carol Ray of the home; three sons: Tim Garvin and his wife, Patsy, of Edmonds, Washington; Robert T. Ray of Tempe, Arizona; M. James Ray and his wife, Lisa, of Phoenix, Arizona; two daughters: Norma England and her husband, Mark, of Bruno, Arkansas; Carol J. Ray of Harrison, Arkansas; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters: Rita and Penny.

A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date in Phoenix, Arizona.

Lois and I were so sorry to hear of Roberts’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Reading Rev. 21:3, 4 and John 5:25 have always brought me comfort, and hopefully will do the same for you.
