Alma Delana Brown Murphy, age 95, of Yellville, Arkansas passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Harrison Rehab and Health Center in Harrison, Arkansas.
Mrs. Murphy was born June 28, 1922 in Dardanelle, Arkansas to the late Alfred Marion and Zilpha Adeline (Slayden) Brown. She enjoyed a long career as a registered nurse, serving in both staff and administrative positions, including Director of Nursing and Charge Nurse at Marion County Hospital in Yellville. She was a member of Broadway Church of Christ in Yellville, Arkansas
Alma is survived by three daughters: Ann Reedy and her husband, Charles of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Shannon Malek and her husband, Butch, of Harrison, Arkansas; Kelley Bowman and her husband, Ty, of Mountain Home; her sister-in-law Wanda Louise Clutch of Springfield, Missouri; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and her two faithful pets Keela and Cindy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Billy Murphy in 1995; an infant daughter Jan Marie Murphy; a grandson, Jeremy Patrick Goodman; three sisters; and one brother.
Visitation for Mrs. Murphy will be Saturday, August 5, 2017 from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at Roller-Burns Funeral Home Chapel in Yellville, Arkansas.
Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Roller-Burns Funeral Home in Yellville with Bro. Heith Hogan officiating.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery near Flippin, Arkansas.
