Lonnie Wayne Risley, age 73, of Yellville, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Lonnie was born January 6, 1944 in Peel, Arkansas to the late Wallie and Dottie (Copelin) Risley. He was a lifelong resident of the area, and worked as an over the road truck driver. He was a member of the VFW in Bull Shoals, Arkansas.

Mr. Risley is survived by his son Travis W. Risley and his wife, Teresa, of Tacoma, Washington; three daughters: Ruth Ann Hampton of Dover, Arkansas; Lesley Merideth Gilmore and her husband, Chris, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; Tammy Elizabeth Bean and her husband, Eddie, of Yellville, Arkansas; one brother Ronnie Risley and his wife, Cheryle, of Valley Springs, Arkansas; eight grandchildren: Jordan Ahrens, Rachael Shaddox, Kori Sierra, Joel Richardson, Samantha Hampton, Laura Ott, Ethan Bean, and Brandon Hampton; and eleven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister Aileen Allen; and a brother Wallie Risley, Jr.

Visitation for Mr. Risley will be Saturday July 29, 2017 from noon until service time at Peel Full Gospel Church in Peel, Arkansas.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm. Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Peel Full Gospel Church in Peel, Arkansas with Bro. Carroll Johnson officiating.

Interment will follow at Peel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ethan Bean, Jordan Ahrens, Joel Richardson, Richard Holliday, Chris Branch, and Tanner Ott.

Honorary pallbearers will be his brother Ronnie, and the nurses of BRMC ICU.

Memorials may be made to Peel Cemetery Association.

Arrangements are by Roller-Burns Funeral Home in Yellville, Arkansas/

Aileen was a best friend when we were growing up. My family lived in Peel until the Dam took our land. I am sorry for your loss. May his soul Rest In Peace and soar with the angels.
