Edith Mae Ford Johnson, age 84, of Summit, Arkansas passed away Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Twin Lakes Therapy and Living in Flippin, Arkansas.

Mrs. Johnson was born December 10, 1932 in Lead Hill, Arkansas to the late Sam and Sarah (Smothers) Ford. She worked at Marion County Shirt Factory as the floor lady in the pressing department. She was elected Mayor of Summit in 1989 and served for 20 years. She had also worked in child care.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her sons: Chester Hoyle and his wife, Karen;
David Hoyle and his wife, Mary;
Danny Johnson;
Tony Johnson;
Greg Ashton;

her daughters: Barbara Wood and her husband, L.B.;
Carolyn Merriman and her husband, Cleveland;
Robbi Wilson and her husband, Toby;

grandchildren: Steven Warren, Michelle Johnson, Rodney Warren, Valerie Melton, Tanya White, Cody Merriman, Carey McAninch, Carla Uhrhammer, Christi Styler, Cassie Dickson, Casey Merriman, Jennifer Hunt, Keegan Hoyle, Kira Johnson, Shyla Johnson, Bobby Johnson, Kelsey Johnson, Kayla Cagle, Zachary Wilson, Candice Akins, Chelsey Johnson, Carson Ashton, Lacey Johnson;

Edith was preceded in death by her parents;

her husband Bobby Joe Johnson;

her daughter Linda Rochester;

her sister Ruby Davis and her husband, George;

and grandchildren: Collin Warren, and twins Amanda and Natosha Johnson.

Visitation will be 1:00 pm until service time Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Roller Burns Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Roller Burns Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Curly Johnson officiating.

Interment will follow at Lee's Mountain Cemetery in Summit, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be Keegan Hoyle, Zachary Wilson, Greg Ashton, David Hoyle, Dalton Melton, and Wyatt Wallace.

Honorary pallbearers will be Chester Hoyle, Danny Johnson, Tony Johnson, L.B. Wood, Toby Wilson, and Cleveland Merriman.
