Edward King age 89 of Harrison, Arkansas , formerly of Yellville, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2016 in the Hillcrest Nursing Home in Harrison, Arkansas. Edward was born in Peel, Arkansas on June 11, 1927. He was the son of the late Elmo and Kella (Jones) King. He was a member of the Liberty Missionary Baptist Church in Harmon, Arkansas.

Edward King Worked for Marion County Highway Department for many years. He was a rancher of livestock and took pride in gardening. Mr. King enjoyed deer hunting and spending time with his children and grand children.

His wife: Emma (Horton) King of Harrison, Arkansas

His son: Larry King of Springdale, Arkansas

His Daughter: Sherry Warren and her husband Wade of Yellville, Arkansas

Two step sons: James McEntire of Fayetteville, Arkansas;
Steve McEntire of Harrison, Arkansas

One Step Daughter: Pam Rose of Fayetteville, Arkansas

One Brother: Mervin King of Yakima, Washington

Mr. King is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren and 8 Step-Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his First wife; Marie (Yocham) King, one son; Carl Edward King, 5 sisters; Virgie, Ruth, Mary, June and Opal.

Visitation for Mr. King will be held at the Roller-Burns Funeral Home in Yellville on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 beginning at 1:00 pm. , with the services to follow at @2:00 P.M.

Officiating will be Tom Peltier. Burial will be in the Peel Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Roy King, Stanley Risley, Jerry Merriman, Sonny Edmondson, Brad Wallace and James McEntire.

Honorary pallbearers are members of the Marion County Road Department, staff of the Hillcrest Nursing Home and all his church family.
