Dennis Paul McGarrah, age 66, of Harrison, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at his home. He was born June 11, 1952, in Wheaton, Missouri, the son of Orville and Wilma Mae (Harris) McGarrah, who preceded him in death.

Dennis was a lifelong follower of Christ and a member of Dominion Life Church in Harrison. He was a hard worker and skilled concrete finisher and he had worked many years at Duncan Industries. He had a special affection for animals, raising and caring for a countless number. He always had a bountiful and well cared for garden. Dennis was a good singer and musician and passed along his love for singing and playing to his children and grandchildren, whom he loved most of all. His love for his wife and family, his warmth, and his wonderful sense of humor will be greatly missed.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 48 years, Nancy (Barker) McGarrah; his son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Johnna McGarrah; his daughter and son-in-law, Tamara and Mike Boyd; ten grandchildren, Corey Paul, Katelyn McGarrah, Whitney (Paul) Hartman, Samuel McGarrah, Madelyn McGarrah, Joe Paul, Ellyn McGarrah, Joshua McGarrah, Carolyn McGarrah and Dennis Paul McGarrah II; and one great-granddaughter, Olivia Jo Hartman;
Dennis is also survived by his brothers and sisters and their spouses, Darrell and Cathy McGarrah, Don and Gail McGarrah, Johnny and Delena (McGarrah) Smith, Jack and Debbie (McGarrah) Bixler, Jethey and Delenda (McGarrah) Henson, Bo McGarrah, Rod and Deanna (McGarrah) Fritter, Dewey and Teresa McGarrah and Dwight McGarrah; many nieces and nephews; a cherished church family; and many other friends and relatives.

Visitation was an hour prior to the service at Dominion Life Church, 2325 New Testament Church Drive, Harrison, AR. Funeral was 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 18, 2018, at Dominion Life Church, with Bro. Coma Rivers officiating.

Interment was in York Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Paul McGarrah, Corey Paul, Samuel McGarrah, Joseph Paul, Joshua McGarrah, Dennis McGarrah, Mike Boyd and Dwayne Richardson.

Honorary pallbearers were Pastors Coma and Bunny Rivers, assistant pastors, Doyle and Flo Burnett, the Dominion Life Choir and his many brothers and sisters in the Lord.
