Myra Janell Shipley Jenkins, age 77, of Western Grove, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018, at her home. She was born April 30, 1941, at Marshall, Oklahoma, the daughter of Virgil and Dorothy (Cosper) Edwards. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Robert J. Shipley; her second husband, Gary G. Jenkins; her sons, Jerry Shipley and Chris Jenkins; and her brothers, Ormand Estes and Kenny Edwards.

Janell was a member of the Everton Baptist Church. She was a registered nurse; and enjoyed reading, traveling, cooking, and gardening.

Janell is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Nathan and Tracy Jenkins of Harrison, Arkansas; her daughter, Jackie Shipley, of Escondido, California; her sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Arvel Smith of Marlow, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Cori Shipley-Schreiber, Eric Vandegrift, Jordan Vandegrift and Adam Vandegrift; and her great-granddaughter, Kingslee Vandegrift.

Visitation was Tuesday, July 10, 2018, from 6:00 to 8:00pm, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.

Funeral service was 10:00AM, Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Whitsell officiating. Burial followed in Maplewood Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Nathan Jenkins, G. B. Hicks, Julian Carlton, Terry Barlow, Jim Methvin and Raymond Keen.
