Wanda Widner, age 82, of Berryville, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Berryville. She was born July 28, 1935, in Peel, Arkansas, the daughter of Lemuel Voyd and Ruby (Jones) Hodge. Wanda was united in marriage to ''Gig'' Widner December 23, 1953 and they were married for 64 years. Along with her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her son, Hearl Michael Widner; her sister, Fern Grinder; and a son-in-law, Denny High.
Wanda was a member of Victory Tabernacle Church in Green Forest, Arkansas. She loved taking care of her family dearly and enjoyed baking and Gospel music.
Wanda is survived by her loving husband, Hearl ''Gig'' Widner; her daughters, Kitty High of Oak Grove, Arkansas and Robin Moore of Green Forest; her sister, Kay Anderson, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, D. J. High, Erin Moore, and Summer Moore; and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation was Friday, March 9, 2018, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
Funeral was Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Miracle Lighthouse Church, Harrison, with Rev. Kris Villines and Bro. Wayne Writer officiating.
Interment was in Gass Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Stuart Roberts, Steve Roberts, Gannon Roberts, Hastin Writer, David Writer, Jason Writer and Anthony Writer.
Honorary pallbearers were Jerrel Roberts, Loyie Roberts, Leroy Roberts, James Widner, Mark Widner, Terry Widner, Rick Widner, Dianna Wallis and Autumn Hills Nursing Home staff.
