I am very sorry for your loss! I live in Sherwood but own some property in Mountain View. My husband was working on our land today and found a letter written to Willy laying in the field. It had been attached to a blue milar balloon. It was a very sweet letter and this person liked Willy very much! She had known him since grade school. I think her name was Bethany? I am familiar with your situation as I too lost a son to a tragedy. He committed suicide when he was 24. What makes me feel better is his pain is over and he is in a better place!

I will always picture my crazy little Willie Wonka when I speak your name. I will cover grief with the image of your genuine smile and your infectious giggle. I am so sorry that this world tormented your soul in the ways it did. I’m glad that with us, you were able to experience true, real and pure joy, love and happiness! I am so happy that God chose me to be your “Mama” and gave me the tools to love you with a Mama love! Although the seeds of anger and hurt had already been planted, I’m glad that you were truly happy and loved and felt the sense of family and belonging while you were with us. Be Free Willy. I’m so glad the tournent is over and your soul can now rest. I’m sorry this world failed you! I’m sorry I couldn’t love away the hurt. If anyone would like pictures from when Wilky was genuinely happy- I have loads of them. He was loved, he was nurtured, he did belong, how had joy, he knew consequence, he understood even through mistakes- we still loved him- sadly the seed of neglect, abandonment, abuse and torment had its roots so deeply planted. Once they matured, they overtook all the good. You Mattered Willy! You will be remembered! BE FREE!

I had Willy as a student when he attended Jasper. I vividly remember his chubby cheeks and precious smile. It makes me smile thinking about him. I see his picture now and he had grown into a very handsome young man! I am greatly sadden by the loss of his precious life. Know that many, many people are thinking of and praying for your family. I pray that the peace of God will comfort you as no other one can.
