Clifford Sims Whitmore, 83, Harrison, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at his home. He was born July 30, 1933, in Pampa, Texas, the son of Clifford Monroe and Fannie Florence (Sims) Whitmore. He loved his family, and he loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Clifford, Julie and Mark.. my deepest condolences on the passing of your sweet Dad. I am just learning of his passing, and after reading his obituary, so many wonderful memories of him and your entire family came to my mind. I remember your home as one of laughter, with your dad laughing the deepest and loudest of all. He was a wonderful business partner to my father, and a kind and gentle and solid man in my life. I will never forget his commitment to the Lord Jesus, and how he carried his faith into every aspect of his life. I pray for you as you mourn his passing, but rejoice for him As he celebrates the joy of heaven with your sweet mama. My love to all of you.
Our prayers have been with you the past several days as you grieve your loss and celebrate a life well-lived!
Loved watching the video --- such precious memories with your entire family!
Cliff, we see where you get your good looks - from both your mom and dad!
Love to you!
To all the family, may the promise of eternal life be some comfort to you in the loss of someone so dear. May God give you comfort and strength during this difficult time.
To all the family, So very sorry for your loss, my thoughts and prayers are with you.
Clifford, Julia, Mark - my thoughts and prayers are with all of you and your families. Your Dad was a great man. I always looked up to both him and your sweet, sweet Mom. I'll keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.
Clifford and Joanie were the salt of the earth in so many ways. Always smiling, always helpful, always loving people as they loved The Lord. We count ourselves so fortunate to have crossed their path in Harrison when we lived there. And we will be their friends forever. Alec and Kristy Gould
I am so sorry to hear of Cliff's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Reading Rev. 21:3, 4 and John 5:25 have always brought me comfort, and hopefully will do the same for you.
In 1975, deep in the backwoods of Northern Arkansas on a bluff overlooking the Buffalo river, a struggling "back to the land" hippie first met what he thought at the time was this "Texas redneck veterinarian." Who but God, who I'm convinced arranged that fateful encounter, could have known or foreseen that from that "chance" encounter would spring a relationship that would span over 40 years.
Cliff Whitmore (the veterinarian) became one of the two (the other being my wife) most influential people in my (the hippie) life. He became the father I'd lost pre-adolescence which resulted in an arrested development as a person and a man. Cliff, and his wife Joani, took me as I was, and loved me into the kingdom of God. Father to me, he and Joani became "aunt and unkie Cliff" to my only child.
So to Clifford and to Julie and to Mark I say thank you for sharing your parents with us. They will always be in our hearts.
Dear cousins, I'm so saddened by the news of Cliff's passing, though I know he's now feeling great, happy and at peace with the Lord now. I wish I'd been able to come see him; I will miss him, as I know all of you will so much. I'm remembering the good times we all shared together in years past; those summer vacations were special times for me and I'll always treasure those memories. Thinking of you all and praying all your special memories will comfort you through this difficult time.
Love,
Karen
I'll miss you Doc and I'll always hold you special in my heart. Thank you for showing me what it's like to live for the Lord. I was so very blessed to have you in my life. Rest in peace my "best good friend".
I am so happy that I have known Cliff and all the members of his family. Love and hugs to all of you
