William Eugene "Bill" Parker, age 84, of Harrison, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at Hospice of the Hills Hospice House in Harrison. He was born December 28, 1932, in Harrison, the son of Lester F. and Gorgie (Crump) Parker. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son; a sister; and a brother.

Bill was born and raised on the farm, where he spent his entire life. The farm was his life. He was an avid bird hunter and fisherman. He worked 50 years in the building contracting business.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Carleta Parker, of the home; his extended family: Jason Parker and wife Leanne and their children, Will, Kamillabell and Keiraline Parker; Ross Parker and his wife Johnette and their children, Kelli Kerr and husband Adam and their twins, Benton and Brooklyn Kerr, Brent Parker and his wife Kelly; Wayne Ruff and his wife Debbie; and many other family and dear friends.


Funeral service was Friday, May 19, 2017, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with Bro. Robert Shaddox officiating.

Pallbearers were Charles Campbell, Brandon Parker, Mark Eoff, Buddy Trotter, Wayne Ruff, Robert Parkinson, Abe Akel and A. J. Miller.

Honorary pallbearers were Don Person, Jim Judy, Bobby Parker, Tim Graves and Raymie Leesman.

Interment was in Maplewood Cemetery.

Carlita.. we were saddened to hear of Billy's passing. He was a fine man, loved and respected by many. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We are sorry we cannot attend the service, as we are traveling.
