Robert (Bob) Wilson Nix, age 76, of Harrison, passed from this world on Tuesday, August 9th at his home. Born in Hopland, CA on September 18, 1939, Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife Carolyn (Betty) Nix, parents James and Virginia Brunig, brother Lee Nix and great-grandson Keaton Bolen.
A graduate of Modesto High School (Modesto, CA), Bob retired in 1995 from Campbell Soup Company (Modesto, CA) after a 34 year career as a Production Supervisor. He enjoyed many outdoor activities over the course of his life including hunting, fishing, motorcycle racing, and NASCAR.
Bob is survived by daughter, Kara Staton, son and daughter-in-law James Scott and Amberlee Norton, all of Harrison, daughters and son-in-laws Danine and Eric Saff of Fresno, CA and Darci and Clint Johanson of Oakdale, CA, brother and sister-in-law Richard and Greta Nix of Waterford, CA, and sister and brother-in-law Betty and John Parsons of Modesto, CA, along with eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Interment will be in Burlington Cemetery following a 10:00 AM Graveside service on Saturday, August 27, 2016.
Robert requested that remembrances be in the form of a gift to Hospice of the Hills, Harrison, AR.
