of Harrison, AR
September 24, 1936 - June 6, 2015
Billie Nell Diffey, age 78, of Harrison, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2015, at her home. She was born September 24, 1936, in Morning Star, Arkansas, the daughter of Joe Treat and L. C. Buell (Treadwell) Treat-Holliman. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Shirley May, Dee Clem, Arzella Hall and Retha Holt; and her brothers, Michael Holliman and David Holliman.
Billie's passion was her family. She had a love for her husband Oz that cannot be expressed in words. They spent 59 ½ years together. They have a daughter, Theresa (Pat Cole), whom Billie adored and you rarely saw the two apart, as they have been best friends. Billie's grandchildren, Chris (Brandi) Diffey and Hollie (Charlie) Pierce, have been like her own children and she was determined to spoil them rotten. This family of 5 kept growing with spouses and more children (all boys!) and she sure loved her boys, Anthony Espinoza, Tryton Diffey, Seabastian Diffey and Scout Teague. Her family was her pride and joy.
Billie is also survived by her sisters, Sandra Masters, Nancy Baledge, Libby Neville, Lucille and her ''honorary sister'', Pat Kirkland; and her brothers, Donnie Holliman, Gaither Kitchel, and Dwayne Kitchel.
Billie enjoyed spending time with family and friends, camping, baking, bowling, crafts and she loved to play a good game of Scrabble/Upwords with Pat Kirkland, Theresa, and Hollie. She enjoyed her weekly beauty appointments for over 40 years with Betty Curtis and Connie Haynes and her hair always looked great! She always wanted to look beautiful for Oz!
Billie and her husband Oz have owned and operated Cottonwood Bowl for over 46 years. She loved working beside Oz and her family there. She also enjoyed seeing all the bowlers, many who have became lifelong friends. She was the lady with the sweet smile, soft voice, and big laugh who many called ''Grandma'' at the bowling alley. Billie was the perfect balance of classy, charismatic and spitfire all rolled into one. She was the cornerstone of the family and will be greatly missed.
Visitation was Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
Funeral service was Thursday, June 11, 2015, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with Patty Blesse and Alan Archer officiating. Interment was in Maplewood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Pat Cole, Charlie Pierce, Tryton Diffey, Seabastian Diffey, Scout Teague and Chris Diffey.
Honorary pallbearers were Bill House, Donnie Joe Young, Chester Treadwell and Donnie Holliman.
So sad to learn of Billie's passing. We are keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. Remembering lots of great times together from the years at the bowling alley.

Oz and family, I was so saddened to hear about Billie's passing. I remember the last time the two of you were here in Princeton. We all enjoyed your visit and Billie as ever was such a lady, sweet, kind and loving. She and Ann reminded me so much of each other. I know you will miss her so much but just remember all the good memories you made together and you will be reunited in Heaven. RIP Billie.
Billie was more like a sister than a niece
. We spent many happy times together growing up. I loved her dearly.
Oz & Family: Even though I've only known you for three years, all of you have made me feel like family, and a lot of the bowlers feel the same way. I'll miss Billie's sweet smile, conversation, and those delicious bacon sandwiches she made just for me! Oz, my heart just aches knowing how much you two loved each other. I am deeply sorry for your loss. Hang on to the good memories. You already know that God will see all of you through this.
