Dorthy Jo Carlton, age 73, of Bellefonte, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014, in Springdale, Arkansas. She was born September 6, 1940, in Bruno, Arkansas, the daughter of Jewell and Lona (Lowery) DePriest, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Eddie DePriest; two brothers-in-law, D. K. Powell and Charles Fowler; a nephew, Doug DePriest; and two sisters-in-law, Kathy DePriest and Sheila (Carlton) Young.
Dorthy was a graduate of Harrison High School and attended cosmetology school in Harrison. She had been a beautician in Harrison for over thirty years.
Dorthy is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, DeWayne ''Red'' Carlton; her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Karla Carlton, of Bellefonte; three grandchildren, Breshia Royce and husband Matt, Kayla Carlton, and Michael DeWayne Carlton; and a great-granddaughter, Riddley JoAnn Royce.
Dorthy is also survived by her sisters, Betty Powell of Green Forest, Arkansas and Elaine Fowler of Lowell, Arkansas; her sisters-in-law, Linda (John) Yount of Rogers, Arkansas and Shannon (Don) Walker of Springdale, Arkansas; her brother-in-law, Tony Young, of Rogers, Arkansas; a host of other family; and many dear friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.
Visitation was Friday, August 1, 2014, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
Funeral service was Saturday, August 2, 2014, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with Bro. Jimmy Dale Huskey officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Dorthy's nephews served as pallbearers.

Dear Family,
Dorothy was a wonderful lady. She will be missed by many, many people. I loved to talk with her on the phone. Most of her conversations with me were about her family and grandchildren. I will certainly miss her. So sorry Corky. I know how you feel.
