Annice Clark Gurley, age 95, of Harrison, died June 3, 2012, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Arkansas. She was born May 14, 1917, at Crossroads (Stoverville), Newton County, Arkansas, the daughter of Iva and Virgie (Lane) Clark. She married Floy Ray Gurley on March 31, 1935, who preceded her in death March 13, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Denver Clark and wife Vonita, Travis Clark, Rymer Clark and wife Nina and J. E. Clark; two sisters, Lois Vancuren and husband Oliver and Mary Melvajean Clark; and one grandson-in-law, Steve Reeves.
She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and her nursing career for many years at North Arkansas Medical Center in Harrison.
Annice is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Betty Jo Gurley of Huntsville; her daughters and son-in-law, Nadine and Bob Tinsley and Maxine Shaver, all of Springdale, and Carole Davidson of Harrison; two brothers, Arlis Clark and wife Lela of Jane, MO and Darwin Clark and wife Elcie of Harrison; two sisters-in-law, Pauline Clark of Bergman and Billie Clark of Springdale.
Annice is also survived by eight grandchildren, Charlinda Reeves, Brent Gurley and Rick Gurley all of Huntsville, Bobbi Curris of Fayetteville, North Carolina, LaTresa Shaver of Springdale, John Shaver of Huntsville, Terry Gurley of Kimberling City, MO and Tori Pouncy of Harrison; eight great-grandchildren, Curtis Reeves, Caleb Reeves, Leann Gurley, Brenna Gurley, Nicole Gurley, Heath Gurley, Blake Swilley and Clayton Gurley; one great-great- granddaughter, Katy Reeves; and a host of other family and dear friends throughout the area.
Services were Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home in Harrison, with Rev. Donnie Villines speaking.
Burial was in Maple Leaf Cemetery in Harrison.
Visitation was at the funeral home Tuesday, June 5, 2012.
Pallbearers were Annices's grandchildren.

Annice I don't know what to say. I just found out about your death. I will always remember you. I wish we had known each other better. You had wonderful children and grandchildren. I know you were very proud of all of them. Every time I talked to you, you told me about your kids or grandkids. God bless them all. I will see you and Floy again in Heaven someday. -Love Ann

Annice was an amazing and sweet person. We will all miss her.
The family of Peggy Bennett (Annice's room mate at Shiloh) would like to express our deepest sympathy to her family at this time. She was a wonderful person to know if even for a short time. We all loved her and will miss her deeply.

I worked with Mrs. Gurley for years in Harrison. Prayers and thoughts are with the family.

My Mother worked with Ms. Gurley at the North Arkansas Regional Medical Center or Boone County Hospital as it was called then, I remember her speaking of Mrs. Gurley. Perhaps they are visiting again.
