Lloyd "Eddie" Edward Kendrick

of Williford, AR

February 12, 1957 - November 12, 2017

Lloyd Edward ''Eddie'' Kendrick, 60, of Williford, AR passed away November 12, 2017 at his sister and brother-in-law's home surrounded by family in Williford, AR. He has been living there since September 3, 2017 as he had been battling cancer for a long time. Eddie was born February 12, 1957 in Jonesboro, AR. Eddie was raised by Hugh Lloyd and Alma Ruth Kendrick in Joiner, AR. He attended Rivercrest High School in Wilson and graduated in 1976. He was a retired truck driver, after retiring from driving a truck he worked for Lex and Irene Goble Farms where he drove a truck through harvest time of corn beans and wheat. The rest of the year he was in charge of keeping up the home and yard which he did with pride. Soon, he took over the feeding and caring of Irene's two horses making sure they wanted for nothing. The one thing he loved was to ride the gator with Taffy the dog and check the yard after he finished mowing; of course, he had to hit a few golf balls on his finished product. Eddie was an avid Razorback fan and also enjoyed playing golf with his lifelong friends. Game day barbeques were a favorite of his and he was known for being a grill master. Survivors include sons: Jonathan Kendrick and Joshua Kendrick both of Nashville, TN; sister: Marie (Kenneth) Williams of Williford, AR; Everett and Betty Lewis, Alice Lewis, Marshia Bobo, Charlotte Foster all of Paragould, AR and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by family members: Hugh Lloyd Kendrick, Alma Ruth Kendrick, Alma J. Rogers, Bobby Rogers, Harold Wayne Rogers, Danny Keith Rogers, Timothy Paul Rogers and Gary Lewis. Pallbearers: Ed Bell, Jeff Bell, David Welch, Gary Batey, Jonathan Kendrick, and Joshua Kendrick. Honorary Pallbearers: Lex Goble, Kenneth Williams, Greg Gamso, Clint Abner, Mike Taylor and Derek Taylor. Everyone feel free to wear your Razorback attire. Woo Pig Sooooie!!!!

So sorry for your loss may you find peace and comfort in the words spoken at 2 Corinthians 1:3 & 4" ( 3) Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, (4 ) who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God

I'll always remember this man as a BROTHER growing up together in Joiner along with other good friends but none as close as Eddie. Learning to play music together. Camp together. Going to church and church camp together. Just about everything until we graduated from high school we were part of TOGETHER! This man saw more places than people can imagine doing what he enjoyed doing . He wasn't just a truck driver he was an adventurous individual nicknamed (amongst other things) "Fast assed Eddie"" Steady Eddie" "Tusk-Hog" "Little-Man" and God knows what else. I could go on but people need to realize what a good and faithful friend Eddie was to many many people.
I'm so upset I missed his formal services. I'm glad he and I had a great visit together a few weeks before he left us and it's comforting to know he was at peace with his fate and had faith in God.
Till We're together again" May God and Peace be with you my BROTHER.

So sorry to hear about Eddie. We met Eddie back in the 1980a when he had a place at Lake Royale and lived in Raleigh. We went to see him in Huntsville, Al and met him in Memphis, Tn. He had come back to see us a few times at the lake as well. We will miss talking to him on the phone. He was the friend that if you had not spoken to in a while, it was as if you had just seen each other a few days ago. Happy he is no longer suffering in this earthly life and is now healed in Heaven. May the Lord give you strength and comfort. Please give Jonathan and Josh, our condolences, as well as the rest of the family.
