Alpha Shelton Lee 92, of Horseshoe Lake, Arkansas passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 20, 2018 in Memphis, Tennessee.
Alpha was a homemaker who loved to sing, sew and cook in her kitchen. She was loved and will be missed by so many.
Alpha is preceded in death by her husband of 76 years, John D. Lee; her parents, Roscoe and Cora Mae Shelton; a daughter, Mary Medlin; two brothers Frank Shelton and JR Shelton; five sisters, Peggy Weaver, Pauline Hall, Cornelia Berry, Annie Hill and Phronie Manning.
She is survived by her three daughters Sharon Sampley (Willie), Peggy Benfante (Charlie) and Johnnie Williams (Mark); and two sons, Barry Lee and Bruce Lee (Kristina). She will forever be missed by her grandbabies and great-grandbabies.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 23 from 5-7 pm at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis. The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 10:00 am at Roller Citizens Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion

There are no words to express the loss of such a great person . Alpha was without a doubt an angel on this earth. She was my Aunt and I remember staying with her when I was young. I never heard her say a bad word about anyone. I never saw her that she was not genuinely happy to see me and my siblings. We all loved her dearly and send our sympathy, thoughts and prayers to our cousins in Arkansas
