Mattie Sue Bixler, surrounded by her loving family, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 28, 2018 at the age of 73.

Mattie was born April 23, 1944 to parents Ermel and Jenny O'Brien in Trumann, Arkansas.

She later married the late Arnold Bixler of West Memphis, Arkansas. The two spent 10 years together before the Lord called him home.

Mattie spent a number of years in the accounting profession preparing taxes.

She was better known by her family as being the best mother, step-mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She will be dearly missed by four sons; Jimbo Presley (Cynthia) of Marion, Bruce Dias of Salinas, California, Brian Dias (Linda) of Wilmington, Delaware and Arnold Bixler Jr. (Mary) of Florence, South Carolina. She leaves behind four daughters; Vicki Moland (James) of Marion, Tammi Scott (Marcus) of Bartlett, Tennessee, Teresa Bixler of Ash Flat, Arkansas and Angela Smith (Elmer) of Heth, Arkansas. Two sisters; Betty Timbs of Trumann, Arkansas and Kay Gregory of Marion. Two brothers; Gene O'Brien (Kay) of Batesville, Arkansas and E.C. O'Brien (Patsy) of Trumann, Arkansas. 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren will forever cherish her memory.

Mattie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister Nellie Maglothin and two brothers; Carvin O'Brien and Bobby O'Brien.
