Shocked and saddened to hear about Mack. We spent a lot of time together making music during the young years. Perhaps we will do it again in the future.

Harry Mack Jr. What do you say when you lose one of the greats? In a family full of ruffians, he was the best of us all. A guy I looked up to, a super cool older cousin who always took time for me when I was running around at Uncle Harry’ s and Aunt Dorothy’s house all those long years ago. Who was tough enough to keep Billy Joe in line – I seem to remember a July picnic down at the river - but also smooth enough to marry the prettiest girl in town. And while looks and brawn are more than most of us are given, it wasn’t enough for Mack. Because he was smart as well. Smart enough to follow the advice of the great sage, Harry Mack the elder, and work in a suit, behind a desk, in a chair, where all the money was. “From the neck up.” I guess his only drawback was that he wasn’t much on a motorcycle. But a guy can’t have everything. He may be gone. But not forgotten. See you on the other side. R.I.P.
