Sending prayers and condolences to the family of Detective Franks. He was a great person and so helpful. He always had a smile and good advice. It was a real shock that he passed. But he is now rejoicing in heaven with family and friends. Detective Franks you will truly be missed. Crittenden County has lost one of the best men that ever worked for them.

God bless all of the Franks family. May God comfort you all.

To the Franks Family,

I knew Bernis from the time I was a kid to adult hood. He worked with my dad R.C Mitchell and was a great man and friend of the family. He will be missed dearly. I am shocked because I just found out today he passed. May God be with your family and prayers are with you.

We have known and loved Bernis as one of our family for all these years. We remember when he was a little boy and used to play on the street with all his friends and the fun that they all used to have. Now as always time catches up with all of us and as God said in his word it is appointed for man to die and we don't get to pick the time. When it happens we don't understand it but God does. The last time i talked to Bernis he told me at that time that he was a Christian so with that thought in mind i know that he is having a wonderful time now. I think that if you could ask him if he wanted to come back i can assure you his answer would be no way. Bernis we will miss you but until we get to see you again rest peaceful in the arms of God. May God bring peace to the family and friends that you have left behind.

I met Bernis when I came to Crittenden County in 1970. He and I worked as police officers for many years, not in the same department but back then it made no difference. Police officers were BROTHERS regardless. I never saw Bernis with anything other than a smile on his face. HIs death came a a real shock to me and i'm sure to many, many more. Crittenden County, his family, the police brotherhood have lost a fine member and he will definitely be missed by everyone who knew him. REST IN PEACE, Bernis, we will all be together again some day.

Bernis was a great friend to all that met him. He would always hug me when I went to the Sheriff's department or if we ran into him at Wal-Mart. It didn't matter where he was he would always give you a hug. He was a great co-worker with my husband and cared deeply for our daughter. Bernis you are going to be missed by all of us.
