Obituary is Helen Marie Needham Ramsey 77, passed away Thursday March 2, 2017 at her home in Earle. She was born August 17, 1939 the eldest of nine children to Norman and Eva Needham.
She is survived by two daughters, Rene Brimingham (Larry) of Earle and Robin Laureles (Rodney) of Batesville; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren (one on the way); five sisters; one brother; many nieces and nephews along with dear friends who all loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Eva Needham, her brother Pete Needham, her sister Billie Needham and her husband of 56 years Charles Ramsey.
Mrs. Ramsey was the family matriarch, as well as a pillar of her community. She was involved in many clubs and organizations including The Quota Club and Delta Artists Society. She was a founding member and president for many years of the West Memphis Chapter of the International Sorority Epsilon Sigma Alpha, a service organization benefiting St. Jude Hospital. She worked as the office manager for Williams Diesel for nearly 30 years, but Helen most enjoyed and loved selling real estate, traveling, painting and serving her Lord through song. She was a member of The West Memphis Church of God where she was a member of the choir and Praise Team. She served as church secretary and was President of The Ladies Ministries where she continued to serve until she was unable. Her presence will truly be missed by her family and all she served and worked with.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 6, 2017 from 5pm until 7pm in the Chapel at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis, Arkansas. The Funeral Service is scheduled the following day Tuesday, March 7, 2017 AT 1pm with interment following at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion.

I am so sorry for your loss and so sorry that I didn't know until just now that Helen had died. I absolutely would have been at her funeral. Helen graduated a year after I did at Turrell High School and she never ceased to amaze me with her many talents and generosity.God rest her soul (but in my heart she is also with her beloved Charles). I attended church with Helen for many years. She was a wonderful friend to me. We sang together in church many times as well as prayed together. She was a really hard worker. She planned many activities for our church and saw to it that they were carried out to the letter. I know that she is at rest with Jesus today. What a wonderful place to be.
