Helen Dover Whiteside died peacefully in her home on February 12, 2017 at the age of 69.
Helen was born June 10, 1947 in Truman, AR, and was the daughter of John Arthur and Martha James. Helen settled in West Memphis nearly 35 years ago where she was a long time member of Marion Church of Christ and manager of Flash Market number 167.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, John Arthur and Martha Tramel James; her husband Alvin Wayne Dover, Sr.,; brothers Louie ''Butch'' James and Roy James; sisters Ruthie Sasser and Darlene James; and grandson Timothy Scott Dover, Jr.
Helen leaves to cherish her memory ,sons Robert Wayne Dover of West Memphis, AR, Timothy Scott Dover of Melbourne, FL, Richard Wesley Whiteside of Katy, TX, and Eric Dale Whiteside, also of West Memphis, AR; grandchildren, Alvin Wayne Dover II, Wyatt Chans Dover, Crystal Jean Dover, Jessica Whiteside, Kody Whiteside, JW Whiteside, Erica Whiteside Carver, Katelynn Whiteside Hommel, and Corey Scott Walters; great grandchildren Coyan and Savanah Dover and Kenslee Marie Carver; and brother Billy James of Melbourne, FL.
The family will receive their friends from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm Wednesday February 15, 2017 and funeral services will be held Thursday February 16, 2017 at 1:00 pm all at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home of West Memphis. Burial with committal services will follow at Crittenden Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Marion Church of Christ, 2845 US-63, Marion, AR 72364.
