Homer Lee Welch, 86, of West Helena, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2010 in Helena, Arkansas. Lee was born December 7, 1924 in Marvell, Arkansas to the late Henry A. and Pearl Elizabeth Hopper Welch.
Lee is survived by 1 son, Richard D. Welch (Becky) of Phenix City, Alabama; 3 daughters, Judy E. Cavette of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, Debbie L. Jackson (Roger) of Norman, Arkansas, and Helen Barnes (Dwight) of West Helena, Arkansas; 5 grandchildren, Michael Cavette, Raymond Holder, Traci Welch, Christopher Welch, and Curtis Barnes; 4 great-grandchildren, Skylar Holder , Dalton Holder, Tiffany Barnes, and Kurt Barnes; 4 sisters, Mae Rowland of Searcy, Arkansas, Naomi Pryor of Portland, Tennessee, Gracie Smith (Carl) of Scott, Arkansas, Mary Parrach of Mineral Wells, Texas; 2 brothers, Johnny Welch (Kay) of Memphis, Tennessee and Wes Welch of Beth Page, Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Lee Andrew Welch; a daughter, Noreen Holder; 4 sisters, Edith McBride, Virginia Sevores, Mabel Cook, and Nell Tyner; and 2 brothers, Henry F. Welch and Wilkes Welch.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 9, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Park. The Reverend Cliff Bernard will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10-11:30 a.m. Thursday at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Michael Cavette, Raymond Holder, Christopher Welch, Traci Welch, Curtis Barnes, and Dale Tyner.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Rowland, Roger Jackson, Ray Holder, and Dwight Barnes.
