We've known Harry for the past several years and played bean bag baseball with him at the FCSC . Everyone that knew Harry loved and admired him. . He was a very kind, caring man who lived his Christian Faith. Before cancer took it's toll on Harry, when he would get up to the base, he would rarely miss getting a home run, and we started calling him home run Harry. After his surgery, and at Salem, when we would visit him, he would always have a smile for us, even though we knew he was in pain, he never complained. He knew where his eternal home would be, Heaven. So Home Run Harry, you're pain and struggles are finally over and you're now Home.
I had the pleasure of knowing Harry for about 40 years, and being his supervisor at Amtran for 10 of that. He knew his bus parts, and if you asked him about a part on a bus that was built back in the 1960’s, he would pull out an old parts diagram that he had kept over the years, and would proceed to get the part made. In all my years I never saw a man that worked as hard as Harry did, and not complain about nothing! Harry will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
What a sweet man!! Already miss seeing him at church. Rest In peace Harry!!
Harry was a very special man!
Praying for the family.
Harry was Daddy's ( Raymond Brock) first cousin. Uncle Alvin and my grandmother, Mary Etta (Fowler) Brock were brother and sister. I will always remember Harry's big smile and shining eyes. He was always so happy. Prayers for the family during this time. I have a feeling that he is singing with Uncle Alvin again and praising God with all his family that has gone on before him.
Harry was one of the good ones. He was always pleasant and kind. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time of sorrow.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. Bro. Roy & Marla Hill
Harry was a faithful member of the Old-Time Gospel Singing group at the Conway Senior Center. We all loved him. His favorite song was, "Thank you Lord for you Many Blessings." I will always think of Harry when we sing that song. RIP my friend.
We all loved and respected Harry. He was the epitome of goodness. We called him Home Run Harry, because of his ability to score in Bean Bag Baseball. He was caring and considerate of others. He deserves a good seat in Heaven.
RIP old friend. See you soon!!
You will be missed by all of us that you left behind.
Harry was a wonderful person, always concerned with how you were as opposed to how he was
