My sympathy to the family: Please find comfort in Almighty God and His Word, especially at this time; we are told at Isaiah 41:10 that God will really help us.
I have so many great childhood memories of Gena. From all the fish frys at her house, the silly recordings and shenanigans that we made while our parents played 42, to my most favorite, our Texas Road Trip Adventure. She was always ready for fun and adventure and always had a smile and an encouraging word for anyone in need. She adored her family and loved them all unconditionally. I am so saddened by her passing and can't begin to imagine the grief and pain that her parents, sisters, children and grandchildren are feeling, but I pray that God's grace and mercy will surround and comfort you all and that the assurance of her faith in Jesus and her love for each of you will bring some measure of comfort.
My thoughts and prayers are with Gena's family. The thing I will always remember about Gena is her laugh and smile. She will be missed.
I am saddened to hear of Gena's passing. My memories of her are all good, with only one exception.
She pushed me down into a pile of dog mess in the 3rd grade and we have laughed about it together ever since. Not a single time that I saw or spoke to her that we didn't reminisce of that occasion. In my minds eye she's still giggling about it.
She had a kind and sweet disposition and I cherish a childhood shared with her in my memories. Blessings, peace, and comfort to her family.
So sad to hear of Gena's passing...I pray God will comfort her family now and through life's journey. Gena was such a sweet & kind friend from our CHS CLASS of 1981!
