Harvey Eugene McCorkle age 79 of Conway passed away Wednesday December 14, 2016 in Conway. He was born Friday April 2, 1937 in Tyronza, Arkansas to the late James and Virgie Young McCorkle.
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years Wanda Stone McCorkle of Conway, two sons James (Brenda) McCorkle of Burnsville, Mississippi, Rick (Cristy) Waire of Pangburn, Arkansas, six daughters Debra (Bill) Davis of Conway, Alana (David) Fidler of Shirley, Tricia McCorkle of Greenbrier, Angela (Larry) Miller of Greenbrier, Ronda Waire of Searcy, Tonya (Rick) Elliott of Searcy, two sisters Joyce (Danny) Thorn of Conway, Shirley (Herman) Aultman of Blytheville, one brother Al (Donna) McCorkle of Conway, 21 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by a sister Maxine Staine, and two brothers A.J. and Ed McCorkle.
Harvey was a specialist heavy equipment operator in the construction field for most of his life. He was proud that he was a former fire fighter in San Bernardino California. He loved fishing anywhere he could drop a line in the water and the outdoors in general. Some of his greatest times were enjoying the fellowship of church family. Even more special was the fellowship time that he enjoyed with his extended friends and family.
Funeral services will be held Friday December 16, 2016 at 3 P.M. at the Rock Solid Church First Assembly in Conway with the visitation starting at 2:00 the Reverends Terry Davis, Randy Long and Al McCorkle officiating with burial to follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park in Conway.
