Ardell Lucinda Phillips, 96, of Conway went to be with the Lord Saturday December 10, 2016. She was born July 28, 1920 in Enola, Arkansas to Noah Shock and Olzie Shock (Shewmake). Ardell was raised in Enola, at Cross Roads. She married Edgar Phillips in 1941. Ardell and Edgar took several trips to California before their children were born in Arkansas. They all left and headed for California in 1953 living in several places like Visalia and Taft. They settled down in Maricopa, California in 1956, where she worked at Maricopa Unified School District as a cafeteria cook from 1962 till 1970. She belonged to the 10th Street ''Church of Christ'', in Taft, California. They lived there for 28 years, before leaving for Conway, Arkansas. She was a member of the Liberty Church of Christ. Ardell and her husband, Edgar, always grew a very large garden, giving away more then they kept. She was a very loving and giving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother (GG). She was always a hard worker, up to the very end. No one could talk her into sitting down, because she always wanted to wait on everyone else first. She also enjoyed cooking large meals for everyone.

She is survived by her daughter Sandra Morris (Craig) of Conway; grandchildren: Cannon Morris (Robin) of Tooele, Utah, Brandy Linn (Fiancée- David McKim) of Greenbrier, Arkansas, Michael Phillips (Brooke) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Kathy McClaskey of Colorado Springs, Colorado; great grandchildren: Brittany Morris, Quinton Linn, Dylan Linn, Colten Linn, Colin Phillips, Kaylee Morris, Jayden Linn, Grady Morris, Kierra McClaskey, Carter Phillips, Emersyn Phillips; brothers: Lester Shock of Conway, Arkansas and Edward Lee Shock of Enola, Arkansas; Daughter- In- Law: Betty Jo Phillips of Rocky Ford, Colorado.

Ardell is preceded in death by her parents, husband: Edgar Phillips, son: Lary Phillips, brothers: Grady Shock, Lewis Shock, and Lish Shock; and sister: Loisy Beene.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Funeral Service will be 1:00PM Thursday, December 14, 2016 at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
