He served his fellow man as a healthcare provider at the Veterans Administration until his retirement in 2009. And lovingly, he served his family faithfully until his final breath.

Visitation will be 6-8pm Friday September 16, 2016 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, AR with a memorial service on Saturday 17, 2016 at 10am officiated by Bruse Reeves. He will then be laid to rest with full military honors in the Crestlawn Memorial Park in Conway.

I hadn't seen you since High School (played trombone next to you). I didn't even know you were in the Army. I retired from the Air Force. But I will miss you David.

Although I didn't know David personally, his son Jonathan was a good friend of mine throughout junior high and high school. I, too, have lost my own father and send my warmest hugs and most fervent prayers to you, Jonathan, and to your family. You have my deepest sympathy.

Janette and family, We are saddened by your loss. Looking at David's picture he looks like he should say something to us. We'll remember the Bible classes he taught for us. We're thinking of you right now during the visitation and will tomorrow for the memorial service. I know Joe has said that he had an awesome Bible Lab teacher. God be with you. Tim and Conny

I didn't know David, but I know his sister, Christy. She is such a sweet and kindhearted woman, and I'm sure he was the same. I'm so sorry for your family's lost. But you all know he is in heaven with all who has gone before him. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. May God give you all comfort during this time. Karen Swaffar Wilson

Leon and I were so sorry to hear of the events of the past several weeks, but DeeAnn has been good to keep us up to date. Please know David is in the arms of his loving Father in heaven and enjoying things we can't begin to imagine. Although sorrow rules in times such as this, there is a certain amount of joy when a faithful Christian departs this earth and we know he is heavenward bound. We extend our sincerest condolences to all of the family and wish we could be there for encouragement and support. We will continue to keep you in our prayers for strength and peace within your soul during this dark period of your life. Hugs to everyone.

Sir,
You were the most inspirational Doc I've worked with in my military career. You set the bar so high no one else could match. I learned so much from you and strive to be the teacher to others that you were to me. Rest in peace and love. Til Valhalla...
