Truman A. Smith, age 89 of Mountain Home passed away Friday April 28, 2017 in Mountain Home. He was born May 1, 1927 in Mountain Home to William A. Smith and Nancy Carey Smith. He married Doretta Jones on June 25, 1949 in Mountain Home. Truman was a WWII Army Air Corps Veteran. He was a member of the Twin Lakes Baptist Church. He is survived by a daughter Paula (Jac) Olson of Mountain Home; 2 step-grandchildren: Andrew Turner and Emily Turner. He was preceded in death by a daughter Judy Gardner, his wife Doretta Smith , 3 brothers : Paul Smith, John Smith and Leon Smith; 3 sisters: Zella Peace, Blanche Dutton and Stella Jackson. A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday May 4, 2017 at Twin Lakes Baptist Church conducted by Reverend Dr. Sam Bailey. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Entombment will follow in Baxter Memorial Gardens Mausoleum of Peace.Memorial may be made to Michael & Dawn Veldhuis 17840 S. Ave 4E Yuma, AZ 85365 Missionaries to the Cocopah Nation.
