Jean (Jo) M. Russell, passed away peacefully in her sleep July 4, 2015 after a long illness. at the age of 87. She was born in Knoble ,Arkansas on July 21, 1927.
She graduated from Tyronza High School in 1946 and was married to Wayne Russell that summer. He enlisted in the Navy and they traveled the states for 21 years raising their family of two boys, Jerry W. Russell and Hal Russell and a daughter Donna Brewer.
They settled in the Millington/Memphis area in 1961 where they spent the rest of their lives. Jo went to work for the University of Memphis in their library where she was employed for over 20 years.
Her hobbies were sewing and spending time with her family. She was a volunteer at the Orpheum for about eight years and loved to attend the performances.
Her husband of 66 years passed away in 2012. She is survived by her brother Harold Perdue, her sister Tina Olive as well as her three children, six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation 4-6 pm Tuesday, July 7 at Roller Funeral Home on Austin Peay. The Funeral Service will take place at Roller Citizen Funeral Home in West Memphis, AR 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2015.

Hal & Family,
So sorry to hear about you sweet Mothers passing. The few times I was around her and your dad, they were a very loving couple and loved their family. You, Deb and the rest of the family are in our thoughts and prayers. We pray God will give you all comfort in the upcoming days, weeks and months. We shed tears with you.
