John Forthman, age 83, of Brookfort, Illinois passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018 in Metropolis, Illinois. Mr. Forthman was born April 10, 1935 in Helena, Arkansas to the late George and Josephine Forthman.
He is survived by three sons, Michael Forthman of California, Joseph Forthman (Chandra) of Conway and David Forthman (Tonya) of Conway; daughter, Cindy Forthman of California; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Margarett Hughes of Mantachie, Mississippi, Darlene Smart of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Cherry Baldwin (Richard) of Jonesboro; and six brothers, Joe Forthman (Jannett) of Manachie, Mississippi, Henry Forthman (Lynn) of Tacoma, Washington, Cecil Forthman (Molly) of Maracoppa, California, Allen Forthman (Darie) of Bakersville, California, Byron Forthman (Charolette) of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Vernon Forthman of Russellville, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Homer Forthman; sister, Melba Dawson; and son, Don Forthman.
A graveside service for John Forthman will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. Brother Adam Rowland will officiate.
