Malcolm Lavon Wooten, age 82, of Poplar Grove, Arkansas passed away Monday, July 2, 2018 in Southaven, Mississippi. Mr. Wooten was born September 8, 1935 in Coahoma County, Mississippi to the late William and Mary Wooten. Mr. Wooten was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by a son, Ricky Wooten of Poplar Grove; daughter, Debra Andrews; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; special niece, Patsy Varner; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Opal Densmore Wooten; stepson, Roy Dale Gann; and seven siblings.
A graveside service for Malcolm Wooten will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Marianna Memorial Park in Marianna, Arkansas. Brother Tony Dice will officiate.
Service will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, (870) 572-2571.

Dear family, I am so sorry for your loss, but so glad that you had him for 82 incredible years. Condolences to you all. All of us (Jones family) lived down Scott Valley Road, and my Mom, Dad and brother are buried there in Marianna Memorial Park. You will be in my prayers.
