Loyd D. Knuckles, 81, of Helena, Arkansas passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Helena. Mr. Knuckles was born August 5, 1935 at Promised Land, Arkansas to the late Charlie and Rosalee Pegrum Knuckles. He was an electrical contractor and worked 17 years as the maintenance supervisor for English Village Apartment Complex. He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Knuckles is survived by five sons, Terry Knuckles (Janice) of West Helena, Arkansas, Gary David Knuckles (Tammy) of Warren, Arkansas, Jack Burton of Helena, Tommy Knuckles of West Helena and Lonnie Burton of Helena; two daughters, Joyce Smith of Helena and Teresa Patton (Dusty) of Lexa, Arkansas; four brothers, Arville Knuckles of Rogers, Arkansas, Sonny Knuckles of Little Rock, Arkansas, Charles Knuckles of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Carl Knuckles of Poplar Grove, Arkansas. He also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Annalee Knuckles; daughter, Donna Malone; granddaughter, Angela Malone; great-granddaughter, Melanie Knuckles; great-grandson, Glen Michael Thorton and two brothers, Ross and Hollis Knuckles.
Funeral services for Loyd D. Knuckles will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Helena. Brother Audie Richardson will officiate.
Pallbearers are T.J. Knuckles, Travis Knuckles, Nigel Malone, Dalton Malone, Anthony Patton and Kyle Burton.
Honorary Pallbearers are Harold "Buddy"Eddleman, Jimmy Eubanks and Chris Chambers.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 901 N. University Ave, Little Rock, AR. 72207.
Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena (870) 572-2571.
