Martha "Lillie" Edwards, age 80, of Helena, Arkansas passed away Monday, April 10, 2017 at her home. Mrs. Edwards was born September 6, 1936 in Helena to the late Luther and Lillie Mitchell. She was of the Assembly of God faith and worked in the cafeteria at Central High School for thirteen years.

She is survived by five godchildren, William Braden, Jr., Lillie Davis, Vera Taylor, Brad Braden, Sr. and Malena Ferguson; three sisters, Doris Lawrence of Helena, Vera Godwin (Dale) of Helena and Mary Tipton of Arkadelphia; brother, Everette Mitchell (Sue) of Helena; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Luther Edwards; brother, Luther George Mitchell; and sister, Patricia Braden.

A service for Lillie Edwards will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 14, 2017 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena.
