Mrs. Opal was one of a kind. I was always amazed at the things she would do, and wasn't afraid to tackle any task. When I used to run my Garage on West Helena, She would come in and ask to borrow a manual, use the hydraulic press to change wheel bearings, or a wrench to work on her car with. She even had parts cars out back of her house just in case! Gotta love her and she always told me you have to learn to do for yourself.
Rest In Peace Mrs. Opal... GOD Love YA..

Ms Opal was one of the kindest and most giving persons I have ever met. I don't think she ever met a stranger, if she did she didn't act like it. We loved her and we are going to miss her.

This breaks my heart. This was one fine lady! She will always will be remembered by Ricky and me. She gave me recipes that I still use today! There wasn't a lazy bone in her small body! She would even do the city's job of sweeping the street around her home on Fourth Street and even CLEANING out the ditches. I think the newspaper ran an article on her about her keeping it clean there. She would come and get her hair permed about once a year and I always looked forward to visiting with her. Ricky enjoyed waiting on her at the meat department, and he's words would always be,"that's a sweet lady!" My prayers will be with your family.
