Shelby M. Ellenburg, Sr., 85, of DeWitt, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017 in DeWitt Nursing Home. Mr. Ellenburg was born July 6, 1931 to Mr. Tib Ellenburg and Bertha Vines Ellenburg in Postelle, Arkansas.
Mr. Ellenburg is survived by his wife, Sue Ellenburg; one son, Shelby M. Ellenburg, Jr. (Candis) of Miles City, Montana; one daughter, Shelly Izzard (Rev. Ken) of Claremont, New Hampshire; three grandchildren, Amanda Izzard, Amber Izzard and Tanner Wheat. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and twelve brothers and sisters.
Graveside services for Shelby M. Ellengurg, Sr. will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Cypert Cemetery at Marvell, Arkansas.
Memorials may be made to Trenton Baptist Church.

Miss Sue and Family,
I was so sorry to hear of Mr. Shelby's passing. I had the honor of helping to take care of both of you when I worked for Dr. Winston. Seeing you two always brightened my day. All my prayers and love to you and your family at this time.

Dearest Sue and family...... I only recently learned of your loss. My heart goes out to you and your family. One thing that should really comfort you is to know that he is with the Lord, and that he loved you with all his heart. You and Shelby were a match made in heaven. When I lost Henry, I lost the love of my life, so I know how you feel, but aren't we glad that we had what we had? Some people never know that kind of love! We are incredibly blessed! Just want you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Love you.
