Herman Frederick Schubach, Jr., age 63, of Lexa, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2016 in Memphis, Tennessee. Mr. Schubach was born in Helena on August 3, 1953 to the late Herman and Elizabeth Schubach, Sr. Herman was a member of the Helena-West Helena Kiwanis Club and he worked for Southern Bancorp for more than 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Susan; son, Herman Schubach, III of Lexa; daughter, Karen West (Ben) of Greenbrier; granddaughter, Emma Claire West; brother, Mike Schubach (Diana) of Lexa; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service for Herman Schubach will be held Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. Brother Harold Crisp will officiate.
Pallbearers are Roy Helton, Jimmy Yates, Chris Smith, Jody Odle, Tom Todd and Dale Kummer. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Pat Bell, Dr. Rohr, Sammy Brocato, Larry Moon, Bill Arnold and David Lawson.
Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, (870) 572-2571.

Sorry to hear of the loss of Herman. He was a good customer at the Barber Shop. Always enjoyed talking to him. He will truly be missed both at the bank and in the community. Praying that God will put his arms around you and the family and comfort all of you.

Susan, Karen, Herman and the Schubach family,
There are just not enough words to tell you how much Herman meant to me and the rest of us at Southern. I had the pleasure of working with him for many years. One of the nicest men I have ever know. He was a good friend and will be missed by many.
The one thing I admired about him most was that he truly was a family man and loved you all. You all are in my prayers.
