Albert Arlie Watkins of Phillips County passed away October 5, 2015. Mr. Albert was born to Mr. Floyd and Mrs. Blanche (Brogdon) Watkins of Augusta, Arkansas on August 3, 1934.
Mr. Albert was a veteran of the Korean War. He had been owner of Watkins Picker Service for numerous years. Mr. Albert was a longtime employee of Wal-Mart.
Mr. Albert was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Dot; and a grandson, Ricky Watkins, Jr.
Mr. Albert leaves to honor his memory his four sons, Chuck (Kelly) Watkins of Poplar Grove, Larry (Ann) Watkins of Collierville, Tennessee, Ricky Watkins of Helena and Gary Watkins of San Francisco, California; ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; and a very special puppy, Sassy, he loved as a child.
A graveside service for Albert Watkins will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Augusta Memorial Park in Augusta, Arkansas. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Reverend Ken Chipman will officiate.

Larry we were so sorry to hear of the passing of your dad. May you be comforted by all the good memories and by the caring thoughts and prayers of those that love and care about you. We are sure his beloved Sassy will be a comfort to you and your family.
Albert and I were raised as brother and sister instead of cousins. I want to let his sons know that they are in my thoughts and prayers today and always.

I have worked many years with Mr. Albert at Wal-Mart. I will really miss our silly conversations! He had a great since of humor and could make you laugh, even if you thought you were having a bad day. Rest in peace my dear friend.

Albert was a kind gentle soul who always had a smile on his face and loved to crack jokes. Goodbye my friend till we meet again.
Sadden by Albert's passing~ He was such a nice person and will forever be remembered. May you all find comfort in knowing he's now in the arms of our Lord and Savior.
So sorry for your loss, I knew Albert and Dot a many of years. He and Dot raised some fine boys, he will be missed.
Sorry to hear about Mr. Albert, passing away. He raised some mighty good boys to become Awesome Men, and taught us all, about repairing cotton pickers, he was one of the Best Cotton Picker Technicans around in his day. We will be remembering the Family and Be Praying for each of you.
