Dan E. Houston, 68 of Paris, Arkansas passed away on Monday, July 10, 2017 in Paris. He was born on January 23, 1949 in Booneville, Arkansas to his parents Haskel and Grethel (Hicks) Houston. He worked as a shoe repairman his whole life with several of those years with Duffy's Shoe Repair in Fort Smith and was a singer and rhythm guitar player for the Chigger Valley Band.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Haskel and Grethel (Hicks) Houston.
He is survived by his wife of twenty five years, Janice (Cline) Houston of Paris; step-daughters, Suzanne Nickerson of Paris, Jill Linn of Paris and Jana Williams of Scranton; step-son, Joey Cline of Sacramento, California; sister, Mary Hagan of Owensboro, Kentucky; brother George Houston and wife Judy of Booneville; his nephew, Chris Houston and wife Courtney of Booneville; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
I am so sorry to hear of Dan's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Reading Rev. 21:3, 4 and John 5:25 have always brought me comfort, and hopefully will do the same for you.
